Cricket is regarded as a religion in India. In India, cricketers are idolised and adored as celebrities. This fandom is not limited to Indian cricketers; in fact, Indian cricketers are adored by fans all around the world. Same as this, many foreign cricketers have been adored by Indian fans in the same way that their own players have been because of several reasons.
The advent of IPL is largely responsible for this. According to many commentators, international cricketers’ popularity in India has skyrocketed as a result of their participation in the IPL, but the players’ own personality and performance also play a significant influence in their appeal.
We’ve heard international cricketers specifically reference India and Indian supporters in their speeches on multiple occasions. It’s because they’re well aware that they have a sizable following among the Indian populace.
All credit goes to India’s large population and genuine love for cricket, as a result of which they appreciated cricketers from all over the world without passing judgement on their personal lives and decisions.
These cricketers have a large fan base in our country and are frequently backed by millions of people. We’ll have a look at them now:
1. Kane Williamson
To be honest, the New Zealand skipper has a large fan base throughout the world, including in India. His warm words and compassionate gestures have converted Indians into ardent followers who are always cheering for him when our country is not competing.
Welcome your win or your loss with the same smile…
Thats what I love in Kane williamson

2. AB de Villiers
AB de Villiers, on the other hand, is untouchable in this regard. The expression “one of our own” actually applies to him, since the Indians have repeatedly expressed their admiration for the star batsman of South Africa. As a member of team RCB in IPL, AB has cemented a position in the hearts of the country’s citizens, and no one is likely to be able to replace him anytime soon.
It has been an incredible journey, but I have decided to retire from all cricket.
Ever since the back yard matches with my older brothers, I have played the game with pure enjoyment and unbridled enthusiasm. Now, at the age of 37, that flame no longer burns so brightly. pic.twitter.com/W1Z41wFeli

3. Adam Gilchrist
Despite the fact that Australians are our cricket rivals, Indians hold Adam Gilchrist in high regard. His iconic “walk” is still spoken about by Indian cricket fans as much as it is by Australians. One more thing, he adores the countryside, as seen by this comment from last year:
“But India has played a huge part in my life, both on and off the field.”
For no apparent reason whatsoever I reiterate my love for Adam Gilchrist. Cricket was never same again for me after his retirement

4. Brett Lee
Another Australian has been added to the list. Isn’t it amazing how intriguing it is? Brett Lee has sung songs for us and appeared in our films, and India adores him. Despite the fact that his lethal bowling caused our squad a hard time on the field, he continues to be one of the players we lavished with attention and love.
5. Brendon McCullum
KKR and McCullum are still linked in our minds. Alternatively, vice versa. During his IPL stay, he had such a lasting influence that his already considerable fame in India grew much more.
6. Faf du Plessis
Faf du Plessis has had a tremendous career with the Chennai Super Kings, and the franchise’s supporters have shown their admiration for him. What contributes is that MS Dhoni has a lot of faith in him, and who are we to criticise someone who has MS’s trust? He earned that faith from his destructive batting.
Faf du Plessis, we love you.
