Sachin Tendulkar did make his debut at a very young age and we are all well aware of that. But comparatively, there are new players now and how old were they when Sachin made his debut and completed it like the legend he is?

1. Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan was born on 5th December 1985. He started his career in cricket on 20th October 2010, during a match against Australia. When Sachin was debuting, Shikhar was only a 4 year old boy.
2. Rohit Sharma
2 year old Rohit was probably following the footsteps of Sachin when he made his debut. Sharma made his first international debut on 23rd June 2007. And the performance was one of the most remarkable moments in cricket history.
3. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli, the present captain of Team India, Chikoo or who is popularly known as Kohli was only 1 year old when Sachin came to the international arena. He was born on 5th November 1988. The duo was seen together in the World Cup finale of 2011 where Sachin gave India a good start and Kohli stabilized the innings with his partnership alongside Gambhir.
4. Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane being one of the most prominent players for India at the moment, was only a year old when Sachin made his first debut for India, internationally. Anijkya made his first debut in September 2007 during a match against England.
5. KL Rahul
Kananur Lokesh Rahul was born three years later Sachin made his debut. Rahul joined the cricket team on 26th December 2014.

Hardik Pandya is so young that he wasn’t even born when Sachin made his debut. Hardik joined the team on 16th October 2016 and came to this planet four years after Sachin played his first international match.
7. Rishabh Pant
Just like Hardik, Rishabh Pant wasn’t born when Sachin made his debut either. Thus obviously they see Sachin as their role model when it comes to the fields, no wonder they escalated with such great performances. Pant came to this beautiful planet on 4th October 1997.

He started his international career on 8th February 2009. He was 1 year old at the time of Sachin’s debut. Though his career wasn’t that good during test matches, Dhoni always had faith in him, just like us viewers. Surprisingly he didn’t always disappoint, but did score some very impressive knockouts.
9. Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin is currently one of the most loved senior bowlers. He was just a 3 year old boy when Sachin played his first international debut, representing team India.
10. Jasprit Bumrah
He was born 4 years later on 6th December 1993, just like any other young cricketers in this list. One of the most promising ones in the list. He went on to make his debut on 23rd January 2016 against Australia.
11. Mohammed Shami
He was born a year later on 3rd September 1990 and made his international debut on 6th January 2013 against Pakistan.
12. Ishant Sharma
Ishant was born just in time to watch Tendulkar play as his birth date is 2nd September 1988. He also went on to play quite a few matches alongside Tendulkar as his international debut happened on 25th May 2007.
