You probably haven’t seen Sourav Ganguly dance on the streets at midnight to celebrate his birthday. The BCCI president, who is now in England, danced with friends and family in front of the London Eye to commemorate his 50th birthday.
In a video that quickly became popular on social media, Sourav Ganguly, the former captain of India, can be seen dancing to Bollywood hits like “Shubha Hone Na De” and “Om Shanti Om” while wearing a jacket, pants, and a cap. Many individuals have reacted to it and shared how they felt about the video.
“Think, if watching movies from a distance can be as enjoyable, how might it be for those who were physically present with him?”
Among is Sana, Ganguly’s daughter who was also present in London with him on his birthday. Her reaction to his father’s dancing steps on “Om Shanti Om” also went viral and lots of people are sharing it on various social media platforms.
Sana Ganguly, Sourav Ganguly’s daughter, was also visible in the video and was sitting by the side admiring other people who are dancing. Sana lives in England due to her academic obligations. When she was preoccupied with her phone, her father dragged her to the dance floor for “under the night sky.”
Along with his friends and family, including his daughter Sana, Ganguly can be seen dancing in the viral video. While Ganguly and the others are dancing, Sana is seen sitting and laughing uncontrollably while covering her face in delight as “Dada” moved his hands and legs in time with the well-known song.
Someone in the group can also be heard saying,
“Sana is so embarrassed.”
Sana grudgingly agrees as Ganguly clutches her hands and begs her to join him, but she suddenly declares,
“I will be the DJ.”
